Hey guys, Wes here with the picks for this week’s New and Notable Video Contests! We’ve added a lot of new contests this week, so let’s take a look at what’s new on the scene at OVC.

Here are some of the highlights:

Biggest cash prize: The biggest cash prize is definitely the Doritos ‘Crash the Superbowl’ contest. With the Winner up for a full $1,000,000 cash prize! You make a commercial, if it wins USA Today’s poll, you win money, and get your commercial seen by millions of people! Sounds like a good deal to me!

Best non-cash prize: The best non-cash prize is Fstopper’s ‘Behind the Scenes’ Video Contest. You share your creative processes and what goes on behind the camera, and if they love it you are up to win ALMOST $14,000 worth of cameras and gear!

Best trip: If you love to adventure and seeing far away lands, it’s harder to get more exotic than Kathmandu, Nepal, which is EXACTLY where you’re headed if you win the ‘Kathmandu 2011 Today’s Corporation’ contest, where you make a short film featuring what you feel is the most significant concerns and issues in regards to corporations and business.

OVC’s Pick of the week: My favorite competition this week is definitely the ‘In Search of Incredible Video’ Competition from Asus. Submit your story idea (With video aid if you feel like it), and if you win you get a chance to win a new Laptop, PLUS a full crew and budget to turn it into a professional short film, and get it shown at Sundance!
